From Coronavirus Lockdown pastime to enjoyable hobby
After looking at quite a few different ways to kill time during the 2020 Coronavirus lockdown in the UK, I decided to settle on calligraphy. At 35, my handwriting has been almost illegible for years, and I had previously been quite terrible at anything else that you would consider artistic – but there’s something about hand lettering that somehow really appeals.
In this blog I’m documenting my learning process, the things I find online, the techniques I’ve picked up, the things I buy online and some photos of terrible jokes, hand written (sometimes badly), to give myself something to look back on to see progress.
