Smells Like Teen Spirit – Classical Latin Lyrics

So there’s a channel on YouTube that features “bardcore” covers of popular songs – songs re-imagined from times gone by. And there’s a cover of Nirvana’s Smells Like Teen Spirit in classical Latin.

So this seemed a good opportunity to try some Latin calligraphy! The Latin hand isn’t one I’ve tried before, and I’m enjoying writing in Uncial majuscule with my Speedball nibs, so I decided to give this one a small medieval touch.

You can just see the left margin marked out with a vertical rule. This is the first time I’ve tried that technique and one I may continue to use, as it gives the text some satisfying uniformity to that left margin
